We have the following opportunity at our Manufacturing facility in Alliston, located 1 hour North of Toronto.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform chemical analysis to ensure product acceptability. Ensure that final products meet required standards before release by analyzing them using instrumental and wet chemical techniques according to the specifications.  Analyze in-process samples using a variety of assays and procedures, taking appropriate action if the result is out of the specified limits.  Maintain chemistry lab in good order. Perform analytical chemical analysis to ensure products meet required standards using instrumental and wet chemical techniques according to specifications. Compile analysis reports by entering results into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) approving them and forwarding to the Document center. Ensure that production lines make products within specification limits by analyzing in-process samples using variety of assays and procedures, taking appropriate action if the result is out of specified limits. Support departmental 6s efforts by maintaining all work areas in a clean and orderly state, disposing of waste, cleaning glass ware and removing expired chemicals / reagents. Maintain chemistry lab in good order by housecleaning, disposing waste, cleaning glassware and removing expired chemicals/ reagents. Perform required preventative maintenance on equipment's in QM lab. to ensure proper functioning and delivery of consistent and reliable results. Contact manufacturers of equipment and arrange for service in event of malfunction of equipment Qualifications University Degree, Bachelor of Science Majoring in Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry 3-5 years of analytical chemical testing lab experience. Over 2 years of chemical lab experience in a pharmaceutical industry is preferred Familiarity with laboratory equipment in a Quality Management Laboratory Proficiency in MS Office and laboratory computerized systems Must have strong organizational and time management skills Highly effective analytical and problem solving skills and critical thinking abilities Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills Experience performing analytical testing in compliance with specification requirements - Instrumental techniques such as HPLC, ICP-MS, GC Atomic Absorption, UV-VIS spectroscopy, Flame Photometry and IR spectroscopy Knowledge of GMP, ISO and regulatory requirements Familiarity with LIMS is an asset Technical writing experience is an asset Equal Employment Opportunity Baxter is an equal opportunity employer. Starting wage is $18.00 plus applicable shift premium.  The Filling Operator is responsible for performing the following duties on a rotating basis on the line: Visual Inspection of IV bag assembly, Filling IV solution in various bag sizes, placing bags into protective overwrap, loading bags onto sterilizer trays These are temporary full-time contracts with the possibility of extension or permanent status in the future. Qualifications: Completion of High School or GED Required (Proof will be requested) Previous experience working in a fast paced environment (experience working in an assembly line setting is preferred) Excellent  pinch grip and hand grip strength is required to be successful Flexibility to work afternoons, midnights and weekends when required Positive attitude, and an ability to work in a team setting with a focus on quality assurance and attention to detail High School Diploma/GED (±11 years) Equal Employment Opportunity Baxter is an equal opportunity employer. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES To perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on all production and facility equipment and systems. Provide electrical services to all machinery and plant facilities. Trouble Shoot PLC Programs and Programmable Controllers. Perform preventative maintenance on production and support equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical breakdowns. Take breakdown calls as primary or backup status as assigned. Install new electrical services with or without electrical drawings.  Mark wiring changes on drawings. Design and draw electrical services for machinery. Perform electrical maintenance on Radio Frequency generators. Work with Industrial Mechanics on machinery repairs, maintain machinery.  Troubleshoot & repair with regard to minor electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and servo aspects. Complete Preventative Maintenance on all equipment as required JOB REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED Must hold a valid provincial certification as an Industrial Electrician license (442A) Proof of apprenticeship Must have PLC knowledge and experience Demonstrated use of advanced trouble shooting and diagnostic skills to determine the root cause of a complex machine failure. Experience working in a Fast-paced environment Previous Manufacturing experience in a GMP environment Experience in food or manufacturing industry Previous experience with (Radio Frequency) Heat Sealing welding process. Practical experience using Lean tools (6S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) 3 – 5 (inclusive of apprenticeship hours) Flexible to work overtime on short notice.Coverage for production overtime Saturdays and winter and summer plant shutdown is mandatory. Strong communication skills are required with the ability to work as part of a team or independently with minimum supervision. Proven ability to be proactive and self-motivated on the job. Previous experience with MOTOMAN & Allen Bradley is a strong asset. Must have a good working knowledge of all production and support equipment and procedures according to Must have a good working knowledge of all maintenance procedures i.e.) welding machining etc. according to job description. Demonstrated ability to organize and schedule effectively in support of production priorities. Basic level of proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
