Simcoe parts Service is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician to join our growing team. Responsibilities: Operate within a multi-skilled environment to maintain the plant’s machinery, equipment and facilities, while improving processes to minimize disruption to the production line. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance with standardized procedures. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including PLC and motor controls, safety sensors and relays. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, drives, bearings, and gears.   Requirements: Above all, you’ll be someone who values making things better and has the commitment to learn and deliver consistently. Certified Ontario Electrician (442A license) with PLC and motor controls troubleshooting experience and technical knowledge. Responsibilities You will be responsible for performing safe and efficient moves of Trailers between different locations within the Facilities in order to contribute to optimal operations. Duties include: Drive a shunt truck for pin to pin moves for chassis or chassis with containers, transferring freight between locations in order to contribute to the smooth operation; Back trailers into designated Docks as requested; Perform and document daily pre-trip inspections of the shunt truck or Day cabs; Perform other tasks contributing to the smooth operation of the facility; Submit or receive information to or from the shift lead using the proper communication equipment.
