Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Bar Supervisor, the Bartender greets customers, prepares and serves mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer and non-alcoholic beverages for patrons; maintains the inventory of bar stock; ensures a clean bar area and washes glassware; and also ensures compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations. Qualifications: High school diploma AND some bartender experience OR An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered AND Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Ontario (18) Smart Serve Certification or equivalent Provincial Liquor Commission Certification, an asset Language requirement: English Essential, Bilingual an asset French Language Proficiency (Bilingual an asset) Reading Comprehension 2 Written expression 2 Oral interaction 2 Level: N/A(No proficiency), 1(Basic), 2(Functional), 3(Advanced), 4(Professional) Experience Requirements: • In serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks • In cash handling • In providing customer service Salary: $14.17/hr - $16.95/hr 2 Conditions of Employment: Must be available to work all shifts (days, evenings and weekends) Security: • Reliability Status NPF employees must demonstrate the following shared competencies: client service, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
