We are currently seeking interested candidates for Blackdown Cadet Camp Current Positions 1st Cook Rotation: 5 days on/2 days off Drive in and out daily Competitive Wages To prepare meals for and to ensure overall quality and presentation of the food: • Prepare of all components of the meal. • Prepares and cooks food according to standardized recipes, ensuring food is cooked at the proper temperature and at the proper length of time. • Ensure overall quality and presentation of the food is appealing. • Sanitize all work surfaces and equipment used. • Plate meals including snacks, desserts and salads. • Re-stock work areas and ensure proper stock rotation. • Clean the kitchen as per cleaning schedule. • Complete required HACCP logs. • Assist with scheduling and staff replacement. • Plan special event menus. • Maintain safe work environment at all times. • Perform duties as per health and safety guidelines. • Other reasonable requests from management. - Maintain a clean and neat appearance - Assist anywhere else in the kitchen during production as needed.
Qualifications Inventory and food cost control experience • Cook certification/papers • Previous food preparation experience • Positive attitude and strong work ethic • Food Safe 1 and 2 Certificates • Able to work independently and as part of a team • Able to communicate and be part of a team - Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Red Seal preferred
