Our client Miller Waste, is a leading Canadian waste management company that supports their community by hiring from the local talent pool, funding local projects, and partnering with local businesses.

They are an employer of choice in the community and have been named an essential service during the Covid-19 pandemic. Because of this they need immediate help and are looking to hire people for General Labour roles in Newmarket.

People working in a General Labour role  with this client would work a straight day shift (7am-3:30pm) or a straight afternoon shift (4:30pm-1am).

  General Labour Responsibilities:

• Assist in the sorting of recycled materials
• Quality Control: ensure any scrap items are placed into bin, weighed and recorded as required

• Maintain a clean work area
• Work in an efficient and timely manner to meet production requirements

General Labour Qualifications:

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to focus on tasks to completion
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Punctual with a good attendance record
• Must have CSA approved safety shoes and safety glasses
• Must have reliable transportation
• Physical requirements include: the ability to bend and twist at the waist, knees and neck; stand and walk for extended periods of time (8 hour shift); lift up to 20 lbs.

General Labour Opportunity Details:

• Day Shifts: 7am – 3:30pm
• Afternoon Shifts: 4:30pm – 1am
• Employment type: Temporary to Permanent
• Location: Newmarket, ON
• Pay: $15.00 - $16.50/hr depending on shift and tenure
