Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Arena Manager, the incumbent monitors and maintains the ice rink; responds to inquiries about the facility, hours, regulations and rules, and provides information on services provided; maintains good ice conditions by scraping, shovelling, brushing and hosing the ice; operates the edger to level out ice along the boards, as required; ensures access to the facility and services is by authorized clients only.
High school diploma AND some years experience in a related field.
An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience will also be considered.
Current CPR and basic First Aid qualifications
Language requirement: English Essential, Bilingual an asset
French Language Proficiency (Bilingual an asset)
Level: N/A(No proficiency), 1(Basic), 2(Functional), 3(Advanced), 4(Professional)
In ice rink maintenance
In operating ice rink equipment
In providing customer service
In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail, and Internet browsing
