Job Description

Our licensed private pub/bar is looking for an enthusiastic head cook! Ideally it would be a student in the culinary education field returning to a semester in September or individual with experience in this type of described setting. We are looking for someone who can think outside the box and prepare some unique pub style dishes!

Duties will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
  • Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
  • Approve and “polish” dishes before they reach the customer
  • Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
  • Arrange for repairs when necessary
  • Remedy any problems
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers


Position is seasonal with contract ending October 20th, 2018

Skills Required

We are seeking someone who:

  • Preferably has culinary background and education, prior experience with a variety of cuisines
  • Excellent knife and culinary skills with a commitment to keeping kitchen area clean
  • 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen or catering environment
  • Is Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes


  • Valid Food Handlers Certificate
  • Own transportation
