Job Summary: Under the direction of the Corporate Services Manager, the incumbent communicates with clients, supervisors and coworkers to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials in order to meet their needs; determines medium best suited to produce desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication; designs camera-ready and digital ads/documents for publications including the Base newspaper, marketing and sponsorship programs; communicates guidelines for illustrators or photographers; retrieves and uses photos, illustrations and typographies banks when available; and performs file conversions for different computer platforms.
College diploma or certificate in graphic design, commercial art or graphic communication or a related field AND some years of experience in multimedia or a related field
High school diploma AND several years of experience in graphic design, commercial art or graphic communications including multimedia
Language requirement: English Essential, Bilingual an asset French Language Proficiency (Bilingual an asset)
Level: N/A(No proficiency), 1(Basic), 2(Functional), 3(Advanced), 4(Professional)
• In newspaper and publication design and layout
• In MAC troubleshooting
• In creating and producing graphic materials using a wide range of media, methods, techniques and equipment
• In graphic design for the Web
• In using desktop publishing programs

Salary: $45,230 - $53,220 per annum
