Job Summary: Under the direction of the Deputy Manager, Personnel Support Programs, the Mess Manager plans, coordinates, manages, monitors, and evaluates the operations and delivery of messes’ activities and facilities. She/he plans, coordinates, manages, monitors, and evaluates the operations and delivery of bars’ services. She/he enforces the requirements for health, hygiene, safety, and security standards and programs. She/he ensures strict enforcement of provincial liquor legislation and DND, CF, and B/W/U policies concerning the responsible serving of alcohol, employee drinking restrictions, and customer behaviour. She/he develops and implements marketing strategy for messes’ activities and facilities.

College diploma or certificate in hospitality, food service management, or a related field AND some years of experience in hospitality or food and beverage service sector
High school diploma AND several years of experience in the food service sector, or in a related hospitality field, including supervisory experience
Provincial Responsible Service of Alcohol certification, as required
Language requirement: English Essential, Bilingual an asset

 In coordinating bar operations services
 In applying policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable legislation

 In personnel administration

Salary: $51,840 - $60,980 per annum
