Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Lead Cook, the incumbent will prepare, cook, and serve food in accordance with menus, established and standardized recipes, and production control charts; wash, pare and cut fruits and vegetables; ensure quality products and service are being provided while maintaining portion sizes and presentation standards; decorate or garnish plates and dishes to suit the occasion; ensure the proper use and storage of all hot and cold food commodities; operate kitchen equipment; restock shelves and counters; maintain a clean and sanitary work area, and assist in cleaning the kitchen; and ensure personal hygiene and ensure dress code is adhered to; etc.


Qualifications:
College diploma, certificate or apprenticeship in hospitality, food service management, or a related field AND some years’ experience in hospitality, food and beverage service sector.
OR
High school diploma AND several years’ experience in the food service sector, or in a related hospitality field.
Language requirement: English Essential, Bilingual an asset

Salary: $14.34/hr - $19.57hr (starting rate is $14.34)
