Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Mess Manager, the incumbent will assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating administrative procedures for the Mess office; answer and respond to incoming phone calls, or direct inquiries to the appropriate person; balance petty cash and all monies from mess dues & accounts receivable; prepare and make bank deposits; collect all monies and issue receipts from mess related functions; prepare and submit applicable NPF paperwork to the NPF Accounting Section; type and process all correspondence for membership acceptances and resignations; perform administrative duties; take reservations and collect payments for all entertainment functions; sort and distribute all incoming mail and handle all outgoing mail; maintain records of pay allotment accounts for all Mess members; make payment of invoices through cheque requisitions, as required; complete and balance monthly Summary of Mess charges; ensure that quarterly billing, and other applicable correspondance, is mailed to all mess members; maintain the membership database; process bi-weekly time sheets, according to the NPF pay periods, and enter information into the payroll program, as required.

Qualifications: College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, AND some years experience in Administration or in a related field OR High school diploma and several years experience in administration or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered

Language requirement: English Essential, Bilingual an asset

Level: N/A (No proficiency), 1(Basic), 2(Functional), 3(Advanced), 4(Professional)
