Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Aquatics Coordinator, the Senior Lifeguard will assist in the planning, organizing, and delivery of aquatic programs. Conducts aquatic program evaluations. Performs lifeguard duties. He/She plans, prepares, and instructs aquatic lessons as required. Conducts/assist with evaluation and assessment of swimmers. He/She conducts/assists with aquatic program evaluation and assessment – quest 2 – of swimmers. Facilitate the advanced aquatic programs (Bronze Medallion/Cross, NLS, FA/CPR). Ensure the safety of all participants while in the pool and apply First Aid knowledge, as required. Liaise with public, military users, and recreation and fitness staff on aquatic programs. Ensure employee training, development and water qualifications are current with all applicable legislation. Ensure established safety procedures are followed in an emergency and respond to alarms, and other emergencies.
