General Description: Load and secure new vehicles onto rail car Hours : 30+ hours (Call-In & Wknd Availability) Shift: Days Rate of Pay: $16.00/hr Special Requirements : • Capable Heavy Lifting • Comfortable Working at Heights & in Tight Spaces • Competently Drive Manual Vehicles Essential Duties: • Drive new customer vehicles onto rail cars from staging lines in a safe and efficient manner • Secure new vehicles to rail cars by using chains or chocks as required by manufacturer • Set-up rail car bridge plates • Raise and lower rail car decks • Open/Close rail car doors • Operate loading ramps • Check vehicles for damage • Drive vehicles to/from staging areas • Various duties as assigned or required to help the facility function in a team environment • Adhere to all ALPC and AAR safety standards • Train new employees and temporary workers • Ability to react to change and handle other essential tasks as assigned Working Conditions • Work is performed out doors in all weather conditions. • Work with a team of other rail associates • Work in tight spaces on railcars Physical Demands Analysis: 1.
